We are the Robins! Our class is a pure reception class and the children are 4 and 5 years old.
We deliver our exciting and engaging early years curriculum through a combination of directed teaching and ‘In the moment planning’. Our inclusive practise is tailored to the interests and needs of both the individual child and the whole cohort, so no two years will look the same.
Across the school year, we broadly follow the seasons in our teaching and use the children’s personal interests to drive our learning. Each term we build on the skills we have developed making maximum use of our outdoor classroom and our Forest School.
My love for teaching stems from my innate curiosity about the world around me. I love learning new things and finding out about how things work. There is something magical about sharing new experiences with young children and nothing beats seeing that moment when their learning clicks and they start to fly.
