Welcome to Jays! We are a mixed-age, year 3 and 4 class for 7 to 9 years olds.
Each year, we look at a range of exciting and engaging topics, adapting to each cohort and including the interests and needs of the children. As we are a mixed year group, we have a two-year rolling cycle, including topics such as, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lights, Camera, Action, Anglo Saxons, Ready Steady Grow, Rumble in the Jungle and Victorians. Our topics also include some fantastic trips, such as Marwell Zoo or dress up activity days with a local historian looking at artefacts and using role play. We enjoy taking our learning outside, and making lessons practical, using the woods for Forest School and the swimming pool in the summer term.
My passion for teaching has been with me since I was young, and I love that each day is different and that we can learn as much from the children as they can learn from us!
